Cass County Electric will hold its annual meeting and 75th anniversary celebration on Thursday, April 19 at Scheels Arena in Fargo.
Seventy-five years ago, Cass County Electric Cooperative organized in an effort to bring electricity to rural areas – forever changing the lives of farmers and others who never knew the luxury that electricity offered. Today, Cass County Electric Cooperative has grown to a utility serving over 36,000 members in ten counties.
Cass County Electric invites its members to celebrate this milestone at its annual meeting.
A complimentary meal and entertainment will begin at 5:00. Entertainment includes Merrill Piepkorn and the Radio Stars and a special presentation from Steve Stark. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view a historical display, featuring past equipment and photos from the early days of the cooperative.
“This annual meeting will be something special for members as we celebrate our 75th anniversary and look to the future. The creation of an at-large director position has generated unprecedented interest in serving on our board, with eight members vying for this opportunity. We encourage members to attend and participate in the governance of their cooperative,” said Scott Handy, president and CEO.
In addition to other prizes, Cass County Electric will be giving away 75 $75 energy credits that will be drawn at random among attendees.
